Nancy Baunis, CAMS PMP
I started in payments in 2005 at Peoples Bank of Paris, Texas — a Mastercard principal member — managing all BIN-sponsor activities from program manager contract negotiation to program implementation.
The following year, I partnered with Mastercard to launch the first general-purpose reloadable PayPass prepaid card program in the United States. That program, the eFinity PayPass Prepaid card, was used in Mastercard's own cafeterias, CVS, and McDonald's — and later served as the platform for Mastercard's market trial of PayPass on Nokia 3220 phones.
Since then I've held senior roles at issuing banks, prepaid card processors, and program managers — giving me a 360° view of how payments programs are built, operated, and regulated. Today I bring that experience to fintechs who need a consultant who has actually done the work.
I hold CAMS (Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist) and PMP (Project Management Professional) certifications, and I'm based in the San Francisco Bay Area.
